The indie-rock singer Lillian Hepler released her newest single, Famous, on July 12, 2024. Hepler has grown over 2 million followers on TikTok after her single “Nightmare," but her latest single depicts who she truly is as an artist. The Utah-raised singer creates a scream-in-the-car song, with lyrics such as “I would call you out but I don’t want to make you famous, write you in a song but why should they know what your name is?." 

This song depicts the frustration after a relationship, having a future planned, then suddenly they break your heart. The song opens with Lillian’s raw vocals and a piano, then quickly picks up with trumpets, drums, and beautifully layered vocals. Between the repeating chorus, Hepler showcases her strong vocal ability; especially in the bridge. This song is the definition of ‘hot girl summer’; “You should be ashamed every time you’re dropping my name. "
