Lauren Sanderson Ignites the Stage with Electrifying Performance

Lauren Sanderson kicked off her “Girl From The Internet Tour” on October 27 at The Foundry in Philadelphia. Known for her “DON’T PANIC!” EP and debut album “Midwest Kids Can Make It Big,” Lauren’s career began in 2015 and includes collaborations with artists like G Flip, Vic Fuentes of Pierce the Veil, and PnB Rock. With over 300,000 monthly listeners, Lauren’s popularity continues to grow, showing that Midwest kids truly can make it big.

Opening the show, Kami Kehoe delivered a powerful rock performance alongside an impressive guitarist and drummer. Though I hadn’t heard her music before, I was quickly captivated by her energy, strong vocals, and dynamic stage presence.

Once Kami’s set ended, anticipation filled the room. As a longtime fan, I shared the crowd’s excitement. One standout aspect of Lauren’s shows is the kindness and inclusiveness of her fanbase. New friendships blossomed in the crowd, creating a welcoming environment.

When Lauren took the stage with her hit single “Tongue Tied,” cheers erupted. She introduced herself and encouraged the audience to say to one another, “I’m so glad you’re here.” It was a small but powerful gesture, uniting everyone in the room.

Lauren’s unique stage presence is rare among artists of her size. She excels at balancing interaction with performing, connecting with fans between songs by answering questions and engaging the crowd. One memorable segment was “tea time,” a safe, judgment-free space for fans to share their stories.

Standing to the side of the stage, I was surprised by how much Lauren acknowledged the fans there, singing directly to us. Most artists overlook fans in that position, but Lauren made everyone feel included.

The show’s final song, “THERAPY!,” was the perfect high-energy conclusion. As Lauren exited, I reflected on how meaningful this show was to me, especially as a fan of over five years. I’ve spent years having a connection with Lauren that I had yet to have with any artist. She’s added me on Instagram live multiple times and we’ve just talked about life. These moments, just like our interactions during the show, are memories I will hold close to my heart for a lifetime. She even took the time to write out a little note for me saying, “Stay true to who you are and never do it quietly.” Her inspiring words reminded me that I could achieve anything I set my mind to. After the show she even messaged me thanking me for coming to the show and congratulated me on my photo pass

since she knew it was something I’ve been working towards for years.

All in all, the setlist for this show was an emotional journey, from heart-wrenching tracks like “Hi.” and “Upset” to upbeat rock songs like “IDC AT ALL” and “THERAPY!” The varied emotions made for a dynamic and fulfilling experience. If you’re looking for a concert that feels like a mix of comedy, raw emotion, and rock energy, don’t miss a Lauren Sanderson show. You will NOT be disappointed!
